12首常用的推荐歌曲 根据Rachel Rambach（2011）的说法，以下是由每一位音乐治疗师都应该知道的十二首歌曲：
“American Pie”
歌曲背景
1971年，一直默默无闻的美国民谣歌手Don McLean（唐·麦克林）在灵感泉涌中写下了一首超长的歌曲《American Pie》（美国派），不仅使他一夜成名，而且把他和他的这首作品一直流传到了21世纪的今天。1977年，张国荣拿这首歌参加了亚洲歌唱大赛，由于比赛时间的限制，哥哥Leslie在1977年的比赛中唱了一4分钟左右版本的American pie，成为亚军，并以对黎小田说唱一半歌曲会使歌“make no sense（没有感觉，失去了原汁原味）”，使黎小田对他刮目相待。以此，奠定了Leslie进军歌坛的基础和信心。
现在我们听到的版本，大部分来自2000年哥哥Leslie在2000年热情演唱会上演唱的歌曲，经过哥哥的改编，四分钟的歌曲，配合现场的气氛可谓是发挥的淋漓尽致。
Leslie曾经在2000年的热情演唱会上说过：说到American pie，年长一些的朋友会说这是Don McLean（唐·麦克林）的American pie。而年轻一些的朋友呢，会说这是麦当娜的American pie。但是说呢，在中间的朋友（中年人，那些伴随哥哥成长的人，一直听他的歌并支持他的人）会说，这当然是张国荣的American pie！
孤篇盖全美，民谣史上的丰碑。这一首歌可以说近乎耗尽了Don McLean的全部才气，唯有纪念梵高的Vincent可以称得上经典。这首歌我能确定的就是，Buddy Holly去世的那天是“the day the music died”，Jester不出意外是Bob Dylan。公园里的四重奏和后面的Marching Band应该指的是披头士。没记错应该是纪念Buddy Holly(1936-1959)的歌，“音乐死的那一天”就是指1959年2月3日Buddy Holly因空难过世的那一天
这首歌歌词才是精华，反映了美国六十年代摇滚乐和政治风云的变化 巴迪霍里坠机，猫王披头士和迪伦，英伦入侵，嬉皮士运动破产。是非成败转头空后对过去无尽的怀念，果然I miss the good old days是人类文化不变的母题之一 愤青老保和新自由主义的摇滚迷们共同组成了一座猴山 这首歌里承载了太多东西了。 这首American pie可是70年代名曲，亚洲这边张国荣出道唱的也是American pie Buddy Holly这名早逝的音乐天才应该很多人不认识他，不过他有一首很有名的歌“It's So Easy”，后来被Linda Ronstadt翻唱而大火，这首歌还有一个很有名的中文版《彩虹的微笑》由王心凌翻唱。 副歌部分好听，后面的旋律好听，最大的败笔还是前面那一段“a long long time ago”这里 补充下背景，当时一架飞机失事了，机上有4个非常出色的音乐人，报纸缅怀标题:The Music Died. 明面上这首歌是美国本土音乐悼亡曲，深层的话可能是美国梦的悼亡曲吧 这歌骂遍了披头士乐队 滚石乐队 鲍勃迪伦[喜极而泣] 这首歌其实最后是don对国家的迷茫 对越战的厌恶 我很喜欢这首歌 尹锡悦真的不配唱这首歌
